Background[]
Oliver's father Mathias Thorn works as a bounty hunter and always stirred up conflict and chaos whenever he demanded payment to any of the targets he had to hunt down. Eris was drawn to the energy he emitted, and appeared to him in her godly form. She was so beautiful, he asked her out and she started an affair with him. After a hazy and lusty one night stand, Eris conceived Oliver and informed Mathias about his demigod son. Mathias was not happy, but decided he wanted to settle into family life and start over.
However, Eris revealed her identity as a Greek goddess and told him about her duties and that she always dallied among mortals when she favored them. She told Mathias that deities never stay with their mortal lovers, and that she had stayed as long as she could. After helping to take care of Oliver and to assist Mathias, she left them both a week after. Mathias eventually went back to college while raising Oliver and got a business degree. He eventually got a job as a manager at a high tech company.
Mathias was eventually able to get a house and raised Oliver there. Oliver grew up having a rough childhood because his demigod powers drew mortals away. He never let down his father though and made sure to do well in school and to study hard. When he reached the age of 12, monsters started to attack him, so his father revealed the truth about his heritage and who his mother was. Oliver was then driven to Camp Half-Blood by his father, and had to save the both of them by instilling hatred and violence in the monsters that attacked them on the way.
Oliver made sure to visit his father every summer, but stayed at Camp Half-Blood since he felt safer there. He would go on to eventually date and get into a relationship with Adrian Blackwell, the demigod son of Thanatos, god of death.
Personality and physical appearance[]
As a son of Eris, Oliver is quiet and calculative. It is within his nature to cause chaos among people, and he stirs up conflict wherever he goes. He is often shunned and left alone because of this, and admits he does feel lonely because of this.
Oliver has white hair that he got from his mother, which represents her nature of being cold and spreading chaos. He also has golden swirls of a tatoo on his chest that appears whenever he uses his powers. He is also very muscular and athletic, because he trains a lot in combat with knives and daggers.
Powers, skills, and abilities[]
As a demigod son of Eris, Oliver can manipulate the minds of people by making them feel conflict and hatred. He does this by tapping into their mind's energy, or by his mere presence. He also can summon golden apples that instill feelings of greed and conflict in other people, that can cause them to fight. He can also shadow travel and shapeshift, but only uses these powers in combat and in situations where he needs help. He also has the standard superhuman abilities of a Greek demigod.
Powers aside, Oliver is very skilled in hand to hand combat, as his father trained him when he was young, due to his background as a bounty hunter. Oliver is also lethal and deadly with knives and daggers, like any demigod child of Eris. However, he isn't great with projectile weapons, and is only proficient with other melee weapons like a sword or spear.
