—Mercury Miracle

Mercury Jr. "Mercy" Miracle is an eleven-year-old American-born Greek demigod. The son of Hermes and the Roman Legacy of Jupiter- Jessica Miracle. Being one of many in the Hermes Cabin. Mercury is currently dating Helios Leos.

History[]

Early Life[]

On April 30, 1999 (a Taurus birthday), Mercury Jr. Miracle was born to Hermes, the Greek Messenger of the Gods, and Jessica Miracle, a Roman Legacy. His mother and maternal grandmother named him for good fortune and protection based on his father's Roman form.

Hermes, as usual among the gods, abandoned Mercury and his mother when he was just a few hours born. Hermes made one or two visits prior to Jessica M. and Daniel M. leaving Camp Jupiter to lead regular lives in New Mexico.

Life at Camp Jupiter/New Mexico[]

Greek Demigods typically grew up in the mortal world with their mortal parents, struggling in school until they were old enough to be sent to the Camps boundary by a CHB Satyr, a demigod traveling, or their mortal parent.

Due to the fact that he was named after his father's Roman form and because he resembled him in appearance, many Roman demigods and legacies mistakenly believed that Mercury was actually him. Despite this, Mercury led a peaceful life at Camp Jupiter, far from the mortal world, monsters, and any threat of being taken from his mother. Jessica Miracle began referring to him as Hermes once she had had enough.

As Mercury was approaching two years old, Jessica and her husband made the decision to leave the camp because Mercury was becoming unable to fulfill his duties as a Greek Demigod there. Jessica reasoned that they should relocate to New Mexico because someone in her family tree was born there and she had visited the state while carrying Mercury.

When they moved there, it was difficult for the children to adjust, but not as difficult as it was for Mercury because he was not typical like the other children in his kindergarten class; he got in trouble every week or so for even the tiniest of things. He was finally booted out of kindergarten, which he was until he was 6 and started middle school.

While on family leave following the birth of her twins, Nikki and Noa, Mercury's mother, Jessica Miracle homeschooled him for many years. On a hot day out at the nearest park, Mercury encountered his first CHB Satyr who was escorting a young demigod around 8-years-old. The demigod was a son of Athena, who quickly had realized that Mercury was a demigod as well. The son of Athena whispered to his Satyr buddy, if they should bring him with them to camp. Both of them nodded as the Satyr indicated he was alright for the time being. Athena's son approached Mercury and advised him to "only trust his mother or father." After that, the two of them just walked away.

Expelled, moving to NYC[]

The older he became, the more often he was expelled. When Mercury was 10 years old, his Spanish teacher, Miss Maria, was absent due to illness, so Mercury saw not a teacher but a fury instead. Unaware that he was sick, he fled the classroom to use the boy's bathroom. A few minutes later, a "teacher" who appeared to be Miss Maria arrived to see how he was doing, but she had turned out the lights.

Upon hearing the fire alarm, Mercury hurried to his class. However, as he approached the door, he felt something sharp against his skin. Upon emerging into the corridor light, he looked down to see a human hand bearing what appeared to be claw marks. He heard what he believed to be Miss Maria, and he began wiping when he saw her. He was not at the end of a corridor with no other way out than the path he had come, which was barred by Miss Maria and Miss Maria II. All of the doors leading outside were locked. He attempted to escape past them, but it was unsuccessful and he ended up getting more injuries. He had claw marks on his left thigh, one on his knee, one across his chest, and one on his arms.

After the lights went out, he cowered down in a corner to hide. There, he noticed what appeared to be a golden glow from a sword. Mercury tried to get up to get aid, but he could see that someone was holding him down; it was a female with blonde hair and a sort of gold bow on her back. He told the person to let off of him, and when they refused, he lost it. Mercury managed to grab onto a necklace with beads around the person's neck. After he tore it from the person's neck, they released him. There was a cry from pupils at the end of the hallway as the lights came back on and everyone there, including one of the Miss Marias, had left. Mercury's parents and the police were contacted by the principal, who also sent Mercury to the school's infirmary. Once the police had left, the principal brought Mercury's parents outside the door. Mercury couldn't hear what they were saying, only the principal's yelling, but he knew what was going on—the dead body, his bloodied and scarred body, and being expelled once more—yet he still had the beaded necklace in his right hand.

As they drove back to their house, Mercury apologized to them for constantly upsetting them and said it was his fault that they had to relocate to Manhattan. Once they came home, Mercury was greeted with a group hug by all eight of his siblings, who immediately fell over and burst out laughing, telling him it wasn't his fault and that he was just unique.

Camp Half-Blood[]

Following several months of expulsion and subsequent relocation, Mercury was out celebrating his eleventh birthday with his older brother Evan and stepfather. Because their dad had left something in the store, their father had instructed Evan and Mercury to stay outside. Evan informed their father they would be heading to the playground located around the corner. The two boys started playing around till someone came and crapped Mercury, Evan tried to get the person to let go but was push away.

After reaching the airport, Mercury and the guy who had taken him traveled to the airport, where a boy with golden blonde hair got a hold of Mercury and turned the unidentified victim into dust. The Boy explained to Mercury that he had been following him all the way here with a few of his buddies, and he arrived to save Mercury from a fury. The golden-haired boy introduced himself as Philip Rose, a demigod son of Aphrodite, and informed Mercury that he would be taking him to Camp Half-Blood. Where he would notify Mercury's parents that their son had been taken to safety because Mercury had recently been claimed and was almost taken to his death.

After several hours in the car, Mercury and Philip arrived at Camp Half-Blood. Philip led Mercury to the Hermes Cabin, explaining that it was "dinner-time" and that he could either accompany him to the Dining Pavilion for dinner or stay here. Mercury requested that Philip stay with him until he fell asleep, citing his fear of being alone after today. Philip then asked Mercury to accompany him to the Dining Pavilion since Mercury was afraid that he would do something again if he was left alone again, so both of them headed to the Dining Pavillion so that Philip could talk to Chiron and Mr. D for a second. When they made it there, Philip told Mercury to wait by the Aphrodite Cabin table so Philip could tell the Chiron and Mr. D that a new camper had entered with him and his friends earlier. A minute later Philip turned around and gestured for Mercury to approach.

When Mercury arrived, Chiron introduced himself, Mr. D also introduced himself, even though he didn't want to, and Mercury introduced himself after they were finished. He claimed to be named Mercury Miracle, but was actually referred to as Hermes Miracle. Chiron was surprised to learn that he was named after the gods' Messenger, both in his Greek and Roman forms. After the talk Chiron took Mercury to the Hermes table, he told the Hermes cabin to be nice to Mercury since he was new, Chiron seated Mercury beside Angelo Miljard a 15-year-old son of Hermes, Angelo tried to talk to Mercury but Mercury stayed quiet, Angelo asked if he wanted him to get him something to eat which Mercury replied "No thank you" And he stood up and left.
