"Please, Pigeon boy? How original."
Maxence Remington is the French demigod son of the Greek goddess Aphrodite and a legacy of Roman god Mercury
History[]
Birth:[]
TW: drug abuse, non-con,
Imagine the story between the goddess of love and a man who's Aromantic/Asexual. It wouldn't be a pleasant one right? Too bad, that's the story of how Maxence's parents met.
One day Clément Remington, a aspiring young artist who just so happened to be the son of the Roman god Mercury, was walking through the streets of Paris, he caught the eye of the goddess Aphrodite. Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty, was instantly enchanted by the calm and ethereal presence of the young demigod. She was used to being adored by mortals, but there was something different about Clément that drew her in.
Aphrodite approached Clément, her enchanting presence radiating warmth and charm. She introduced herself and expressed her admiration for his artistry. Clément, however, was not easily swayed by her advances. As an aroace, he had little interest in romance or love, and he was wary of the goddess's intentions.
Aphrodite, undeterred by Clément's aloofness, decided to take matters into her own hands. She concocted a potent love potion and surreptitiously slipped it into Clément's drink one fateful evening. Unbeknownst to him, Clément consumed the potion, and the effects were almost immediate.
Suddenly, Clément found himself overwhelmed with intense emotions that he had never experienced before. He began to see Aphrodite in a new light, her beauty and allure captivating his senses. He found himself drawn to her, unable to resist the pull of her presence. Clément spend countless days painting portraits of the women he "loved." After a while, they conceived a child together; A baby boy they named Maxence. (A/N: I'll probably make a separate character for Clément later)
Childhood:[]
Maxence was quite lonely as a child. His dad was in his life but always so... distant. Maxence's dad would often lock himself in the room of his house and sit around all day, so Maxence was on his own. He typically spent his days exploring either the woods in his backyard or just the city itself, finding solace is the city's busy noises. That was until he was 11 and the monster attacks started kicking in. Because he lived in paris guess what the most common monster was? That's right, Stymphalian birds. They easily blended in with the hordes of regular pigeons to attack demigods like Maxence. And it certainly didn't help that Maxence was severely allergic to feathers. Maxence eventually got used to the daily bird attacks and starts attacking the birds before they attack him, even going out of his way to find the Stymphalian birds nest to take them out before they could grow up. One fateful day, however, Maxence's eagerness to protect himself backfired. In his haste to destroy a nest, he accidentally killed a group of innocent baby pigeons. Feeling guilty, Maxence tried to make amends by leaving food for other birds in the area. But it wasn't enough. Another god was watching. Artemis, the goddess of the hunt and protector of wildlife, was furious at Maxence's actions. She was outraged by Maxence's disregard for the lives of the innocent birds. In her wrath, she cursed him to transform into a pigeon whenever he experienced strong emotions.
Coming to camp (Half-blood):[]
"What do you mean I have to fly their myself? Can't you just.. whisk me away?"
Obviously, Maxence's life took a drastic turn after the curse. He had to drop out of middle school because image turning into a bird mid lecture at the single mention of a pop quiz? Or any form of testing or social anxiety? Except Maxence didn't want to stay at home all day either as his father couldn't be bothered to sign him up for homeschooling so he literally had nothing to do in the house. So finally his mother stepped in. Aphrodite casually appeared Maxence's room scaring the living shit of the boy and causing him to poof into a pigeon. Aphrodite of course, ignored this and told her son about camp Half-Blood, a safe place for demigods like him. Maxence got somewhat excited and asked Aphrodite to take him there. But she just laughed and said "Oh honey, you're a bird. And you know what birds do? They fly!" So yeah. Maxence had to make the 3,626 mile journey from Paris to New York by himself. As expected, he got attacked by many, many monsters both on land and in the air and almost died several times. But after a month with a little bit of help along the way he crashed into the Long Island after being chased by evil storm-spirits.

Personality:[]
Demeanor:[]
Maxence is really shy at first. Actually, He's really shy and reserved as a person in general, even after getting to know him. This is a result of his curse as Maxence is too scared to fully express himself as there's always a chance that one heated argument, or one corny joke could make him *poof* into a pigeon. And since Maxence is allergic to his own feathers and get all sneezy after he finally goes back into a person going poof is something he likes to avoid. So Maxence typically keeps to himself. Though he is very polite, Maxence can get easily flustered and caught off guard in many instances. He's really submissive whenever he's told what to do and has absolutely zero backbone. Another thing is that Maxence can be a bit hard to impress, he grew up in Paris after. The city of love and wonder and blah blah blah.
Fatal Flaw:[]
obsequious - slavish or fawning obedience or excessive eagerness to please.
In conclusion, Maxence Remington is a major pushover to the point where it could actually kill him. As said before Maxence is overly submissive. It's just his natural instinct to obey. This is partly a result from his curse from Artemis as he's pretty much a tamed pigeon but also because even before he was cursed he was naturally subservient.
Life at Camp:[]
Claiming:[]
After his crash-landing into the long island beach, Maxence, still in pigeon form, fluttered over to the head table in the dining pavilion. After finally calming down from being attacked he was able to transform back into a person. With naturally caught the attention of the rest of the camp. But before Maxence could process everything that had just happened, he felt a sudden surge of energy coursing through his veins. He looked down at himself and saw that his clothes had changed, replaced by a stylish outfit that looked as if it had just come off the runways of Paris. His hair was perfectly styled, his skin glowing with a healthy radiance, and his eyes sparkled with an otherworldly beauty. Which of course... caused Maxence to panic and freak out even more, making him poof back into a pigeon all over again. But at least He got claimed right?

The prophecy:
In the midst of chaos and strife,
A messenger emerges, carrying the thread
That binds Greek and Roman demigods tight,
For the emperors' tyranny must be shed.
Iris messaging falters, communication lost,
But this messenger, with courage and might,
Brings together the heroes, no matter the cost,
Uniting them in the darkness of the night.
"Wait.. you don't really think the prophecy is about me right? Since when was I brave?"

"Does squeezing count as a love language? Because Jubilee does that. Like, a lot."
Jubilee Madden - Jubilee Madden was the epitome of confidence and sass. As the daughter of Dionysus, the god of wine and revelry, she had inherited his mischievous nature and love for a good party. But along with her charismatic personality came a sharp tongue and a tendency to be a bit mean at times. Despite her flaws, Jubilee was adored by many for her fearless spirit and unapologetic attitude. How could someone like her ever fall in love with someone like Maxence?
.

.
Short Story alert:
Despite their differences, Jubilee and Maxence had known each other since they were children. They were both part of a group of demigods who had grown up together at Camp Half-Blood, a sanctuary for children of the gods. Jubilee had always been the one to make fun of Maxence's timid nature, calling him "Pigeon Boy" because of a curse that had been placed on him as a child. Whenever Maxence felt strong emotions, he would involuntarily transform into a pigeon, unable to control his own actions.
One day, as they were walking through the woods surrounding the camp, Jubilee couldn't resist taunting Maxence once again. "Hey Pigeon Boy, you're looking a little tense," she said with a smirk. "Are you about to sprout feathers and fly away?"
Maxence blushed and shuffled his feet, trying to ignore her teasing. "Leave me alone, Jubilee," he muttered, looking down at the ground.
But Jubilee wasn't finished. "You know, I've always wondered what it would be like to be a pigeon," she continued, circling around him like a predator. "Do you think I could train you to do tricks for me? Maybe I could even enter you in the next Camp Half-Blood talent show. You could be my little performing bird."
Maxence felt his face grow hot with embarrassment and anger. He clenched his fists, trying to suppress his emotions, but it was no use. In a flash of feathers and a flurry of wings, he transformed into a pigeon right before Jubilee's eyes.
Jubilee burst out laughing, unable to contain her amusement. "Oh my gods, I can't believe it actually worked!" she exclaimed, doubling over with laughter. "This is the best thing that's ever happened to me. Pigeon Boy, you are officially my new favorite pet."
Maxence, now in his pigeon form, felt a mixture of shame and helplessness. He tried to fly away, but Jubilee grabbed hold of him before he could get far. "Oh no you don't," she said, holding him tightly in her grasp. "You're not getting away that easily. You're going to stay right here with me until you turn back into your human self."
Yet surprisingly enough, Jubilee's grip become someone gentle despite it's firmness. "Aw, Who am I kidding? I wouldn't actually hurt you, you're too much of a precious little pigeon for that..." Maxence felt a wave of panic wash over him as he realized what had just happened. He tried to speak, but all that came out was a series of frantic coos.
jubilee simply giggled in response before finally letting the Maxence go. "See you later little birdie..."
The next day Jubilee and Maxence had a actual conversation with each other. Sorta, it was mainly Jubilee flirting with Maxence while Maxence tried not to die from cringe. Eventually Jubilee forced I mean, gently persuaded maxence into dating her, and they've been together ever since.
Item/Appearance[]
Weapon:[]
Maxence doesn't really have a weapon. He always chooses flight over fight so why would he need one? But he does have a pretty good arm when it comes to throwing as majority of his childhood consisted of throwing rocks at birds in self defense.
Appearance:[]
Human-[]
Pigeon-[]
Despite being a literal stick figure in human form, Maxence is a really pudgy when he's a pigeon because Artemis said so.
