Lira
Lira & Lirae (Janet) Vale – Daughters of Nephele[]
Age: 13
Cabin: Nephele
Age & Personality Impact:[]
When Nephele first began claiming children again, it was Lira and Lirae who answered that call. At the time, they were the only ones in the cabin, the very first demigods claimed by Nephele in centuries. Most gods select a head counselor once there are enough campers in their cabin—but Nephele made it clear from the moment of claiming:
“Two mirrors, two minds, one path. They lead together.”
At first, other cabins doubted them—13 is young, even for a demigod, and two heads instead of one? It had never been done before. But their leadership quickly proved itself:
- Lira led with logic and wisdom beyond her years. She organized cloud training, taught meditation through mist, and helped new campers handle emotional weather outbursts.
- Lirae took charge of defense, duels, and direct training. She sparred every new camper personally, pushed them to find their power, and wasn't afraid to break rules if it helped someone grow.
Together, they created balance in their cabin. And when their first cabinmate lost control of their cloud form in battle, it was Lira and Lirae—fused into a single glowing figure—who stabilized her, calmed the winds, and carried her to safety.
Backstory – Young But Tested:[]
They were separated in the foster system, each unaware of the other until the day they were claimed at Camp Half-Blood. When the claiming smoke formed, instead of one double appearing, two misty figures emerged, reached toward each other—and merged into real twins.
They’ve only been at camp for about a year, but their reputation is already spreading. Most demigods take years to discover what they are. Lira and Lirae discovered who they were, and who they were to each other, on the same day.
They’re still figuring out what it means to be siblings, to share space, and to balance their personalities—but they share a bunk, share their worries, and often finish each other’s sentences.
Current Arc:[]
They're training hard to master twin fusion, as Chiron believes it may be key to a future prophecy. But for now, they spend their days sparring with each other on the cloud balcony, helping Kael calm his storms, or sneaking cookies from the camp kitchen while invisible in a cloud of fog.
They’re young—but destined for something big.
