Linnea was always seen as the “youthful glow” on Camp grounds, with newer campers believing she was somehow related to the Goddess Hebe, whether it be she was a legacy or was wrongly claimed by Hephaestus. Luke described Linnea as a true artist – although not necessarily in the conventional sense. For this little girl, life itself is a canvas for self-expression. From what she wears to how she spends her free time, she acts in ways that vividly reflect who she is as a unique individual. With her exploratory spirit and her ability to find joy in everyday life, Linnea was said by Percy himself to be among the most interesting people you’ll ever meet.
Driven by her sense of fairness and her open-mindedness, Linnea moves through life with an infectiously encouraging attitude. She loves motivating those close to her to follow their passions and usually follows her own interests with the same unhindered enthusiasm. The only irony? Unassuming and humble, Linnea tends to see herself as “just doing her own thing,” so she may not even realize how remarkable she really is.
Linnea embraces a flexible, adaptable approach to life. Some campers thrive on strict schedules and routines – but not Linnea. She prefers to take each day as it comes, doing what feels right to her in the moment, as most children should do. And she makes sure to leave plenty of room in her life for the unexpected – with the result that many of her most cherished memories are of spontaneous, spur-of-the-moment outings and adventures, whether by themselves or with her loved ones.
This flexible mindset makes Linnea remarkably tolerant and nonjudgmental. She genuinely appreciates the diverse nature of the world, embracing people who may hold different opinions or practice unique lifestyles. It’s no surprise, then, that she rarely tries to convince people to change who they are or what they believe in.
That said, her go-with-the-flow mentality can have its downsides. Linnea may struggle to set long-term plans – let alone stick with them. As a result, she has a pretty cloudy view of her ability to achieve her goals, and she often worries about letting other people down, coupled with her fatal flaw. She may find that adding a little structure to her life goes a long way toward helping her feel more capable and organized – without quashing her independent spirit.

This is enhanced due to her being a child, and having all her thoughts ignored and deemed “silly” due to her age.
