“ | And this... to living through madness! Cheers. | ” |
—Lesley to Percy, her drinking whiskey and Percy drinking blue Kool-Aid. |
Lesley Irving is the Scottish daughter of Dionysus, and a literal fox. For explanation, that fox was turned into a woman by Aphrodite, yadda yadda, blah blah blah, used to trick Dionysus and boom! A baby fox was born. Then shortly after turned into human form and left to an unnamed mortal woman who mothered Lesley's stepbrother, Christy Irving. She was also the former Head Counselor of Cabin 12 before she resigned, giving it to Pollux due to the fact she moved to Cabin 15.
Despite having a fox side of family, those foxes traced back to foxlike entities created by the Roman god, Pluto. Which makes him her fourth great-grandfather. Aside from that craziness, she drives it away by just settling in Cabin 15 after Hypnos adopted her. (Mainly to treat her better than her father, but also just to try and show off he's a better father than the Olympians.)

I am that alcoholic friend.
I stepped outside of Cabin 11, the place where unwanted brats like me stayed. Residing there with those rowdy Hermes' kids were the worst possible thing to happen to me, at least I could argue with. The humidity and smell of sweat clung to the air, lingering as it assaulted my nose. An obvious frown grew on my face, filtered by disgust.
"Someone's still sore after that loss to the Hunters." I heard a voice hum from behind me, growing closer.
And ugh, who didn't know that voice? Luke Castellan. What even was he to camp nowadays? Oh right, some kind of hot babe or something. At least that's what all those campers swooning over him would say. He was my unwilling cabinmate, but I guess he was at least claimed. I was just hanging around like those pieces of unwanted, dirty clothes you leave in the hamper hoping they clean themself.
"My nose is sore smelling so much sweat, like you." I grumbled─ not in the mood. Although, when was I ever in the mood?
It didn't feel like I just had a nap, more like it flew by faster than a Boreas kid trying out their powers for the first time. People wouldn't believe me when I said I wish I could hibernate for an eternity, they take it for a terrible attempt at humor. Admittedly, they're the reason I wish I could hibernate.
"H-" Luke was about to say something, but before he could, the end of a heavily thick furred tail was being stuffed and shoved in his mouth.
A fox's tail.
In such a short, abrupt notice, I was glaring at Luke with a prominent pettiness radiating off me in waves. Yeah, maybe I did just shove the end of my tail in his mouth to shut him up. But it did work, so who's really in the wrong? Take that baby moms. In a jiffy, my tail vanished, and I was gone like the wind. Thank Hermes' for my speed, but don't thank him too much, I didn't want him claiming me.

"You are seeing things, maybe you should go to the infirmary." My voice muffled, suctioning down on a straw stuck into a concealed can which I used to hide my whiskey in. Who would've thought an alcoholic like Mr. D gave two cares about drinking. Or maybe that was just more of Chiron.
I eyeballed Luke who sat in front of me at the table for Cabin 11, he seemed pretty prissy about my act earlier. Although I would never apologize, obviously. So, my inexpressive act would have to do. And according to Mr. D, I was talented enough for theater with my kind of facades.
"Sly fox, you are lucky I don't get you right now for that." Luke would probably suffocate me in my sleep tonight, but at least I was going out peacefully asleep.
Throughout my entirety of eating, I was either being side-eyed or scolded for my sloppy eating manners. Stuffing my face piece after piece of mouth fulls of grilled cheese. My mind was my sanctuary in the moment, plus, it seemed to agree whiskey was pretty good with grilled cheese.

"MY WHISKEY!! I outta shove this fork down your throat!" In not even a moment's notice, Percy had idiotically made the decision to take my whiskey. Even though I did tell him it was Kool-Aid, so maybe I was partially to blame back then...
I had tackled the poor boy to the ground and practically was wrestling him. Which did lead to me clawing his cheek, which during the time I didn't regret but stubbornly apologized for later on.
Beating the crap out of someone wasn't on this summer's bingo card, but it happened. I was an easy victor to the poorly formed fight that Ares' would call child's play. Then again, I was dragged off by Luke and some other Hermes' kid. Everybody was shocked to say the least─ with the exception of Mr. D who was hootin' and hollerin' at the sight.
What a great Camp Director.
Hey, hey... wait, what's that finger doing! No, not a finger!!! Anything but him, I cursed internally. Dionysus was pointing at me, wearing some cheapish grin an old-aged father would be wearing after seeing their kid beat another kid in a poor attempt of a baseball match.
Dionysus claimed me.
"Dammit! Curse you Jackson, now I'm definitely going to be an alcoholic!"
An Apollo kid was addressing his clawed cheek, while I was saying goodbye to my days of sobriety. And of my whiskey that I discovered was spilt all over the ground, absorbed into the ground.Relationships[]

Trivia[]
- Like many children of Dionysus, Lesley grew to have an addiction to a particular drink. In her case it would be whiskey, which she favors over other drinks. Although isn't exactly a great role model for it, since she is an underaged drinker.
- Absolutely hates quests, she'd rather die or be doing bathroom duties before she took on a quest.
- Luke told Percy that sometime when he first came to camp, saying if Percy were ever to go on a quest by the Gods, that he shouldn't bother asking Lesley. Although even after being told that, Percy said to himself he thought he could convince her (he wouldn't be able to.)
- The first time this is shown, is in The Titan's Curse where a Hunter of Artemis was seen trying to ask and convince Lesley to join the quest. Where Lesley ultimately refused and was last seen stalking off into the woods with Pollux chasing after her.
- She's very persuasive when she feels like it.
