The Hermes Cabin (Cabin 11) is the cabin for the children/legacies of Hermes/Mercury, the Greco-Roman God of Messengers, Heralds, Communication, Language, Speech, Translation, Interpretation, Writing, Travelers, Travel, Journeys, Transportation, Vehicles, Movement, Motion, Roads, Paths, Passages, Boundaries, Velocity, Speed, Athletes, Sports, Athletics, Games, Gambling, Competitions, Championships, Tournaments, Stadiums, Gymnasiums, Merchants, Commerce, Trade, Business, Negotiation, Deals, Shepherds, Shepherding, Thieves, Thievery, Theft, Trickery, Mischief, Deception, Oratory, Diplomacy, Invention, Cunning, Smartness, Wit and Hospitality, as well as the Guide of the Dead, being responsible for guiding the souls of the deceased to the Underworld. His symbols are the Caduceus, the Talaria (Winged Sandals), the Winged Helmet and the Satchel, His sacred animals include the Hare, the Tortoise, the Rooster, the Goat, the Ram, the Hawk and several kinds of Fish, His sacred plants include the Strawberry Tree, Crocus and the Palm Tree, He lives on Olympus.
Claiming & Cabin[]
Claiming: When Hermes/Mercury claims his children, a glowing caduceus appears over the child's head.
Building: The Hermes cabin is a log cabin, but rather old, and has a caduceus over the door.
Furniture: The brown paint on the inside is chipped, and the cabin is pretty much crowded at all times. Beanbags, hammocks, and bunks are everywhere, and almost no one makes their beds in the morning. One wall has a world map with separate ones for magical realms (such as the Underworld); color-coded pins show where each camper has been. The cabin is full of all the stuff that the children of Hermes have stolen. there is a secret 2nd floor full of prank supplies.
Policy: Considering Hermes' domains, any unclaimed demigod will be placed in Cabin Eleven.
