Discord Sanchez is the 18 year-old child of Felipe Sanchez and Eris, Greek goddess of strife, spite, discord, and chaos, as well as the great-granddaughter of Janus, Roman god of beginnings, gates, transitions, time, duality, doorways, passages, and endings.
Background[]
Birth[]
Felipe Sanchez was well known in the town of Maywood, California for stirring up trouble. He was sent to jail on multiple occasions for DUI's and such, and had become the town's most infamous resident. He, being a child of Janus, also attracted many monsters, causing trouble for himself and those around it. With that aura of chaos constantly surrounding him, Eris couldn't resist and posed as a prison guard while Felipe was serving his time. The two conceived Discord while there, and, 1 year later, on January 21st, 2005 after Felipe was released from prison, he was greeted with the weight of being a father.
Childhood[]
Felipe settled in remarkably well in the first few years as a father, seeming to have adjusted well to the domestic life and caring for his newborn child. This changed as soon as Discord began school, however. When the father was separated from his child, it left him more time to return to his own habits, as he was only employed part-time and had much spare time on his hands. So, by the time Discord was 7 their father returned to jail for robbing a store, and was to serve 4 years in prison with a 7,000 dollar fine. This is what began what would become regular trips to their aunt and uncles apartment in Queens, along with Discords 2 years younger cousin. Joaquin and Mary were very welcoming to the child, as Joaquin knew his half-brother's long history of deviancy. Christopher served as Discord's best friend while they were there, and helped them adjust and blend into their new life.
In New York, Discord had a hard time adjusting, as they tended to cause an outburst wherever they went and were standoffish and moody, much like their father. They quickly gained a reputation at their school as a troublemaker, and it seemed like they were on track to become a spitting image of their father. They continued with their rowdy attitude and preformed poorly at school in New York for the 3 years they were there. Although Discord was sad to leave their family behind, they were excited to return to their father in Maywood and to their life there.
Meeting Grace[]
When Discord returned, they were not greeted with a warm welcome like they'd hoped. Instead, they were met with neighbors who barely remembered them and a father who wanted nothing to do with them. Felipe only continued to get more neglectful as time went on, and Discord was forced to learn to take care of themselves at the age of 10, cooking, cleaning, and taking care of other household duties while their father went to a local bar or casino. Their problematic behavior only escalated, and they became prone to physical violence, sometimes going as far to hit their bullies or teachers. It was becoming clear that Felipe was not an appropriate guardian and that Maywood was not a good environment for Discord, and so, after 5 years too long back in Maywood, Discord moved for the last time to Queens with their extended family.
Like before, Discord was not the most popular at school, and still stuck with Christopher when they could, although it was becoming more difficult as Discord was in high school and Christopher in middle school. That is, until Discord met Grace. One day she appeared in the back of Discord's AP English class and the two became fast friends, passing notes and giggling in class. The two even had their own table at lunch together, where they would gossip as the popular kids walked by and watch as people watched their table with disdain. There was no denying the two had a strong bond, and Discord thought nothing could break their friendship.
Camp Half-Blood[]
Being a strong demigod, Discord occasionally saw things that seemed unusual. Someone walking a dog that turned into a lion when they walked past, very, very, large bats, things like that. To them, it was all out of their imagination. That is, until one of these "hallucinations" attacked Discord and Grace while they were getting ice-cream. The two had walked in in high spirits, giggling as the person working the counter threw the usual scared look. Between Discord's disgruntled appearance and Grace's innocent one, people couldn't help but wonder if something was off in their relationship. They would prove to be right.
Right as the duo walked out of the store, delicious treats in hand, a harpy swooped down and clawed at Discord's face, slashing a clean cut down their cheek. Grace screamed, turning the harpies attention to her. It swooped, nearly taking Grace's eye out before a goat-legged man hurled at the beast, it's horns coated with what Discord would later recognize as Celestial Bronze. His horns stabbed the harpy, pulverizing it and therefore saving both of them . He said nothing but, "If you want an explanation, follow me." The two 18 year-olds complied and were transported to Camp Half-Blood in the back of a Delphi Strawberry Service truck, and were taken to the Apollo Cabin for a check up. What bother Discord the most was the fact that they were not treating Grace, however.
"Why aren't you treating Grace?" They asked, jerking their head in the direction of the girl on the cot to their left.
The Apollo campers collectively looked to the cot, turning back to Discord after a moment.
"Who's Grace?" one of the campers finally asked after a long pause.

I'm most definitely not an expert on schizophrenia, so take everything here with a grain of salt, this is just a fandom wiki and I wanted to make a character with my personal interpretation of someone with schizophrenia.
Personality[]
Discord has a rebellious personality, often going out of their way to cause chaos because of the thrill and fulfillment it gives them. They're also quite moody, going from the sweetest person you've ever met to the last you'll ever meet in a second. They are quite difficult to get along with, and will do anything to prevent losing, as when they do they will seek revenge almost immediately. They are brave and clever, however, and always want to dive headfirst into the unknown and how to do that without being killed. Discord has dyslexia, ADHD, and schizophrenia, and it made them struggle in school as well as in life, causing them to move around a lot. Their fatal flaw is their hubris, or their pride.
Appearance[]
Discord is of Hispanic heritage, and has mildly tanned skin, with moles and freckles dotting their entire body. They have shoulder length, unkempt black hair and always wear a smirk that Hermes himself would be proud of. They have multiple body piercings, and enjoy wearing turtlenecks and button-ups.
Abilities[]
Child of Eris Abilities:[]
- Discord is innately stronger in any chaotic time
- Discord can manipulate chaotic winds and storms but it is less powerful than Zeus's offsprings or Boreas's offsprings. Though, Discord can increase this ability if there's too much chaos
- Discord can make anyone fight with each other
- Discord can manipulate people's emotions, varying to anger or envy
- Discord can shadow travel due to the fact that Eris's mother is Nyx
- Discord can create a golden apple, which can cause fights over it
- Discord can create a "strife storm", which causes anything in it to change, break, or warp
- Discord has an innate knowledge of historic wars and what caused them
- Discord can create chaos from small to large degrees. Example, fueling hatred between opposing groups until they murder each other. Another example, lighting a small fire on the ground causes a large forest fire
- Discord can induce disasters and calamities
- Discord can sense any chaotic event happening and travel instantly to that place through Shadow Travel, depending how chaotic it is
- Discord can manifest fully avian wings but only for a short time. They are made out of darkness just like Eris' wings and their grandmother, Nyx
Legacy of Janus Abilities:[]
- Discord is able to control time, but they are only allowed to speed up time or slow it down
- Discord is able to sort out the true from the untrue, including reality and illusion, authentic and unauthentic. The only way to confuse them is by giving them a half-truth as they will have trouble figuring out what part is a lie and what part isn't
- Discord tends to know the age, cause and place of someone's death. But they are not allowed to change them as it goes against mother nature's laws
